
TIES Farmer Producer Company Promotes Productive Use of Fallow Lands at Agricultural Knowledge Session in Arpookara
As part of its ongoing farmer outreach and capacity-building initiatives, TIES Farmer Producer Company (TIES FPC) participated in an Agricultural Knowledge Session organized by the Cherupushpam Parish Farmers Club, Arpookara. The highlight of the programme was a keynote address by Dr. Punnen Kurian Venkadath, Managing Director of TIES FPC, on the theme "Transforming Fallow Lands into Food Production Centres." He emphasized the urgent need to bring unused and abandoned agricultural lands back into cultivation to enhance local food production, strengthen food security, improve farm incomes, and promote sustainable farming practices. The session encouraged farmers to make productive use of available land resources through scientific and community-based approaches. The programme was attended by Mrs. Mariyamma Philip, Vice President of Ettumanoor Block Panchayat, Mr. Bennichen Panackal, President of the Farmers Club, Adv. C.J. Mathew, Treasurer, Mr. Ajith Joseph, Mr. K.J. Sebastian, Parish Trustee, and Mr. Ajith Abraham, CEO of TIES FPC, who also addressed the gathering and led the group discussion session.
