TIESFPC takes a new step towards Scientific Dryland Farming

On 11th December 2025, TIES Farmer Producer Company Limited signed its first contract farming agreement on dryland with Mrs. Latha Jaimon, a member of the TIESFPC Board of Directors. The land involved in the agreement is located at Thiruvanchoor.


The occasion was held in the presence of Dr. Punnen Kurian, Managing Director of TIESFPC, along with other Board members - Mr. Shaji, Mr. O. A. Abraham, and Mr. Prince Elias.


The proposed dryland cultivation project focuses on banana and tapioca, undertaken in collaboration with ICAR - Central Tuber Crops Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram and the Banana Research Station, Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), Kannara. High-quality, improved varieties recommended by these reputed institutions will be cultivated on the land.


This initiative marks a key milestone for TIESFPC, reflecting its commitment to the adoption of scientific farming practices. With confidence in achieving a successful yield, this step signifies the beginning of a sustainable and promising phase in dryland agriculture.
